Bailey Tipps and Emily Knight are two of the most creative and knowledgeable agents in downtown Austin. Their combined 35 years of experience show up for you every time, whether you are selling, buying, or leasing.
With backgrounds selling for or competing with the best luxury products in the city, their extensive understanding of this market is unparalleled. They’re also a hell of a lot of fun to work with.
Bailey Tipps
A founding partner of DEN Property Group, Bailey’s familiarity within the downtown core stems from his tenure at the most luxurious downtown highrises. His move to Austin, over ten years ago, at the ground breaking of the The Residences at W Austin, as well as living downtown, provided his breadth of knowledge amongst competing and neighboring properties. Bailey opened the first Starwood property to combine hotel and residences, The Residences at W Dallas, and managed their residential operations prior to being scouted to oversee sales of The Residences at W Austin. Following the successful sellout of the Residences at W Austin, Bailey began sales for The KOR Group with their new branded residences, Austin Proper. As the newest echelon of luxury residences in Austin, the sales velocity and early success can be attributed to the location, Kelly Wearstler’s interior design, and the limited number of exclusive residences. Since relocating to Austin, Bailey met the love of his life, Margaret, and they have had two smart, gorgeous, spirited daughters.
Emily Knight
Emily’s love of Austin began the moment she first visited the University of Texas campus 24 years ago. She quickly enrolled, leaving California behind and putting down deep Texas roots. In 2005, she took on the role of deputy fundraiser for the Kinky Friedman for Governor campaign. Despite the excitement of that historic experience, she soon chose to pursue a career in downtown real estate.
Emily gained invaluable market insight during the 2008 downturn and continued to sharpen her understanding of the construction process while selling and closing out The Shore and the Four Seasons Residences.
In 2015, she joined DEN, where her experience broadened even further at Austin Proper Hotel & Residences. The highly collaborative environment allowed her to consult on nearly every aspect of the marketing and sales program. Beginning in spring 2026, she will split her time between Austin and DFW to support the launch of Dallas Proper.
Her passion for real estate extends well beyond downtown, and she truly loves representing buyers and sellers throughout Austin.
When she’s not negotiating a deal, Emily enjoys vintage shopping, yoga and Pilates, reading, and spending time outdoors with her three sweet kids. She’s also a fixture at Texas sporting events and a proud Longhorn—Hook ’Em!
Work with the team that knows downtown Austin better than anyone—and makes the process genuinely enjoyable. Get in touch to start the conversation.
